Production

“Fresh from the field to the bottle” - that is the quality concept we apply to the way we produce first-class products using state-of-the-art technology. And with environmental protection in mind, our vegetables are mainly grown and processed in and around Tägerwilen.

Vegetable farming and harvesting

The quality of our fruit and vegetables is crucial to the quality and intrinsic nutritional value of our juices. We cannot make first-class juices without first-class raw materials.

Juice production

Our enduring aim is to produce top-quality juice from fruit left as nature intended, as if pressed by hand. Production methods have a direct impact on juice quality. The basic rule is: the fewer the processing steps, the greater the nutritional value of the juice. This is why we constantly adjust and improve our processing techniques, and why we use state-of-the-art production systems. After thorough washing and strict checks, the vegetables are ground up and transferred to a particularly high-performance press.Valuable leftovers do not go to waste, either: they are sold to farmers for use as organic animal pomace

Bottling

After pressing, the juice flows into our juice cellar where it is analysed, checked, blended as required and then prepared for bottling. A final strict quality check precedes careful filling into the world-famous Biotta bottles. The bottles are labelled, packed into boxes, stacked on pallets and transferred to our warehouse immediately after filling and sealing.

Storage and shipment

We need an enormous amount of storage space, as our vegetable juices are all bottled in the autumn, “Fresh from the Field to the Bottle”.

Biotta juices are exported to over 40 countries, so you can also enjoy Biotta products and genuine Biotta quality in many places outside Switzerland such as Australia, Taiwan, USA, etc.
