History
1931
The company, which was then called "Gemüsebau AG Tägerwilen", is founded in 1931.
1951
The company adopts organic farming methods in 1951. "Gemüsebau AG Tägerwilen" is one of the first organic operations in Switzerland.
1957
The first Biotta juice - Biotta Carrot Juice - is produced and launched on the market in 1957.
1961
Dr. Hugo Brandenberger acquires the company and changes the company's name to Biotta AG. He is a firm believer in the future of organic farming.
2005
Biotta AG is to be taken over by Thurella AG in 2005, but will still be run as an independent company.
2010
2010 the swiss subsidiary companies Thurella AG (including Biotta AG) merged with Thurella Schweiz AG.
Today
Organic products are here to stay and have captured a remarkable share of the market.
With its unerring faith in organic production methods, Biotta has acquired a high degree of competence in all matters concerning the cultivation, processing and marketing of organic vegetables and juices.
