Jakob Bieser, Tägerwilen

Jakob Bieser has been growing celeriac and white cabbage for Biotta for 20 years, with a yield of 15-20 tons annually.  Up until twelve years ago, he also raised livestock.  Today, in addition to vegetables, he also grows grains, such as millet.  On his manageable 70 ares, he lovingly grows his vegetables, doing much of the work by hand, giving extra attention to detail.  Many of his fields are attractively bordered by field stone walls.  Jakob Bieser really puts his heart into organic farming.  His busy hands never rest.  They can always find something to do, even if it’s only a task as small as pulling a weed from between his thriving celeriac and cabbage plants.
