Jakob Dütsch, Tägerwilen

Jakob Dütsch’s farm lies on a hill, with an amazing view of the lake.  The beauty of this majestic, well-tended estate distracts one from its rigorous daily routine.  Jakob Dütsch farms his 5 hectares himself, with two seasonal workers from Poland as his only help – his wife can no longer help him, since becoming a paraplegic.  Since 1957, Dütsch has been growing carrots, celeriac, beets, fennel and white cabbage, and all in accordance with the certified NOP program.
