Peter Merk-Gastel, Tägerwilen

Organic vegetables have been grown on Peter Merck’s farm since Biotta was founded. Merck’s father raised carrots and beets for Biotta before him.  Today, the Tägerwilen farm, with its 20 hectares of fields, provides Biotta with some 70 tons of vegetables for their juices.  In addition to vegetables, Peter Merck also raises cattle, calling 14 cows his own.  Merck’s farm is home to goats, chickens and rabbits, as well.  This dog-lover can usually be found accompanied by one of his four-legged friends.
